U-Report Australia Collection Notice
Purpose: UNICEF Australia may collect personal information about you when you register for U-Report to allow us to understand the general demographic characteristics of U-Report users and to provide you with relevant information.
We may also collect information on registration that allows us to communicate with you, invite you to participate in surveys, focus groups, events and other activities, invite you to interact with our chatbots, and send information to you.
If you use Facebook Messenger to register with U-Report, we may collect your account name, given this channel requires creating a Facebook Page that will identify from which Facebook Account the message is being sent.
As you interact with U-Report, we may collect information you provide via U-Report channels including responses to survey questions, interactions with chatbots and any unsolicited messages you send to us.
We may use information collected via U-Report to undertake analysis and research, including in relation to child rights.
Consequences: Registration with U-Report and interaction with its channels are entirely voluntary. There are no consequences for you if you chose not to register or interact.
Use: If you chose to register or interact, the personal information we collect will only be used for the purposes set out above.
Disclosure: We may disclose your Personal Information collected via our U-Report application on a de-identified and aggregated cohort basis, for the purposes of advocating for children and young people, both in Australia and overseas. Privacy Policy: Our Privacy Policy sets out a number of relevant matters. We will only disclose any personal information you provide, and will secure it, as set out in that policy. You may access your personal information and seek its correction as set out in the policy. The policy also includes information on how you may make a complaint if you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles and how we will deal with such a complaint.
