Meet Girisha, who received life-saving treatment for malnutrition
At three-years-old, Girisha was diagnosed with Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM). After receiving treatment at a UNICEF-supported Nutritional Rehabilitation Home in Nepal, Girisha is now full of energy and plays with her cat at her family home in Nepal, thanks to Global Parents like you.

'I moved to Australia as a refugee from Afghanistan when I was 11. I wanted to give back because I’ve been blessed with so many things in life and so many opportunities, but also because as a Muslim I see helping the less fortunate as one of my duties. I did a fundraiser for people in Afghanistan and after that I wanted to find ways to continue to support people in need and UNICEF came to mind. It’s not a big deal for me to give every month, but for children in need, it could be their lifeline.'
