Help children survive and recover in emergencies

Double your impact for children in emergencies

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Aaron Sansoni Foundation, the first $274,494 donated will be matched dollar for dollar, doubling your impact for children in emergencies.

Donations received after the matched goal is reached will continue to provide critical support to children in desperate need. Every dollar you give makes a lifesaving difference. Thank you for your unwavering support.

Help us reach our matched gift target

Right now, more than 1 in 6 children around the world live in areas torn apart by war. That number is only expected to grow in 2025.

Together, we can help every child in crisis survive and recover.

From the devastating conflicts in Gaza, Lebanon, Sudan, and Syria, to the recent heartbreaking earthquake in Myanmar, children around the world are experiencing an unprecedented number of emergencies. Millions of children have lost access to food, clean water, shelter and healthcare, leaving them vulnerable to malnutrition and disease.

UNICEF continues to provide critical support to children and families in crisis, and your generous gift will help them rebuild their lives.

We can’t stop emergencies from happening, but we can ensure that more children survive and recover. With the help of people like you, UNICEF has helped save more children's lives than any other charity in the world – 90 million since 1990. Your donations allow us to be there for children before, during and after emergencies – from the critical first hours, when we deliver lifesaving supplies, including clean water, therapeutic food, and mental health and psychosocial support, to long-term recovery and rehabilitation. Together, we are there for every step, for every child. No matter what.

Ali (pictured above) has begun to open up to a UNICEF-supported child psychologist, slowly starting to play with toys but often pausing as if searching for the family he lost. But he still has a long journey ahead.

In Gaza, Lebanon, and other places around the world, children are experiencing unimaginable hardship due to conflict.

A devastating number of emergencies are unfolding around the world, pushing children like Qamar to the brink as they fight for survival. Sadly, many of these crises don’t make media headlines.

1 in 6

Over 473 million children globally – more than one in six – now live in areas affected by conflict, with the world experiencing the highest number of conflicts since World War II.

1.8 million

More than 1.8 million people across the Gaza Strip are experiencing high levels of acute food insecurity, which is when a person’s inability to consume adequate food puts their lives in immediate danger.

52 million

More than 52 million children in countries affected by conflict are estimated to be out of school, in places like Gaza and Syria.

In 2025, children living in crisis around the world need our help more than ever. UNICEF delivers lifesaving supplies when an emergency strikes, and we remain on the ground to provide children with the long-term support they need to recover. Your gift can help children in crisis make the journey from survival to safety.
