For 20 years, David Beckham has stood with UNICEF and is now marking his 50th birthday with a fundraiser for children.
Today, there are more children in need and at risk than at any time in recent history and it is always the most vulnerable children who face the biggest challenges – especially girls.
In places including Myanmar, Sudan, Gaza, Ukraine and beyond, humanitarian emergencies are unfolding around the world. Children are losing their homes, schools and loved ones, and a lack of access to food, water and healthcare is causing immense challenges.
But together, we can give them hope.
With your support, UNICEF can continue to deliver lifesaving support to children who need it most. Join David Beckham and give every child the chance to survive and thrive.
"Some of the moments I’m most proud of in my life have been through my work with UNICEF – helping to shine a light on the challenges facing children today. That’s why, for my 50th birthday, I’m launching a special fundraiser to help UNICEF to continue to deliver lifesaving support to children around the world"

Qamar's birthday wish
Qamar is only seven years old. She should be playing with friends, going to school, and dreaming about the future. Instead, the war in the Gaza Strip has taken so much from her. During an attack on Jabalia camp, Qamar was struck in the foot. The only hospital that could take her in was a maternity hospital – one that was already overwhelmed and under siege. For 20 days, she waited. Infection spread through her body. With no other choice, doctors had to amputate her leg.
Now, Qamar lives in a tent, surrounded by stagnant water, with no access to proper medical care, no prosthetics, no psychological support. Her trauma, like that of so many other children in Gaza, is deep and ongoing.
