In 2023, Deutsche Schule in Melbourne raised an incredible $10,819 through its Solidarity Fun Run to support children impacted by the earthquakes in Syria and Türkiye. The Fun Run showed support for the families and friends within the school community who had been personally affected by the earthquake.

Participants received a colourful rubber band and generous pledge donations for each completed lap of the school grounds. While everyone showed incredible dedication, some students truly went above and beyond. A few enthusiastic runners accumulated an impressive collection of up to 40 rubber bands, showcasing their unwavering determination to make a difference.

Deutsche Schule Melbourne's Solidarity Fun Run was more than just a fundraising event - it was a powerful demonstration of compassion and unity. Their remarkable fundraising efforts provided much-needed support and sent a strong message of solidarity to those in Syria and Türkiye.
